Syrdarya Region attracts Chinese Business to new projects
As part of a visit to China by a delegation from the Syrdarya Region led by Governor Erkinjon Turdimov, a large-scale trade, economic, and investment forum was held in Foshan, according to a correspondent for the “Dunyö” news agency.
The event, organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Beijing, the Consulate General in Guangzhou, and the Syrdarya Region Administration, brought together representatives of ministries, chambers of commerce and industry, and executives from leading companies in Foshan.
The forum participants focused on issues of industrial cooperation, the development of logistics chains, and the agricultural sector. Chinese investors were briefed on the conditions established in the free economic zones of the Syrdarya Region, as well as the current system of incentives and preferential treatment.
Significant results were also achieved in negotiations with Arrow Group, where plans were discussed to localize the production of plumbing fixtures and modern bathroom equipment.
The agricultural sector also saw a number of important agreements. Partners agreed to establish agricultural logistics systems, modern fish farms, and the production of specialized mini-equipment. Additionally, agreements were reached on the implementation of innovative technologies in street lighting systems based on modern Chinese developments.
The delegation’s visit continues, laying the foundation for a long-term strategic partnership.
