Guangzhou hosts official commemoration of Uzbekistan’s Constitution Day

The Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Guangzhou hosted a cultural event marking the anniversary of the adoption of Uzbekistan’s Constitution, bringing together members of the Uzbek community temporarily residing in southern regions of China, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
During the event, speakers underscored the pivotal role of the Constitution in the country’s state-building process, national development, and the daily lives of its citizens. It was emphasized that the protection of human rights, fundamental freedoms, and legitimate interests stands as a core priority of Uzbekistan’s governance.
In an open dialogue with members of the Uzbek community, participants discussed a range of issues related to education, employment conditions, and challenges encountered in their day-to-day activities in China. The conversation also touched on further improving consular and legal services, as well as China’s current policies on labour migration. Diplomats provided detailed responses to questions raised by attendees.
At the conclusion of the event, an agreement was reached to jointly draft an activity plan for 2026 aimed at intensifying efforts to promote Uzbekistan’s rich cultural and historical heritage in China.
