On the entry into force of the Agreement between Uzbekistan and China on mutual visa exemption

Uzbekistan and China have completed all necessary legal steps for the entry into force of the intergovernmental Agreement on mutual visa exemption between Uzbekistan and China, signed in Chengdu on December 1, 2024.
The Agreement will officially take effect on June 1, 2025.
The Agreement regulates the issues of mutual visa-free travel of citizens of Uzbekistan and China to the territory of the two states.
Under this Agreement, citizens of both countries can travel to each other’s territory without a visa for up to 30 days per visit, and for a total of no more than 90 days within any 180-day period.
In this case, the period of each entry and stay in the territory of the States of Parties must not exceed 30 days.
If someone needs to stay longer than 30 days, they must apply for a visa in advance.
The visa-free policy does not cover work, study, media, or any other activity that requires special permission.
This Agreement does not apply to visits to Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Regions.
