The leaders of Uzbekistan and Turkey discussed topical issues of the bilateral agenda

On the sidelines of the summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-building Measures in Asia, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

The issues of practical implementation of the agreements at the highest level on further strengthening the relations of comprehensive strategic partnership and multifaceted cooperation were considered.

Special attention was paid to the promotion of joint investment projects and the implementation of new business initiatives, the participation of leading Turkish companies in the privatization of state-owned enterprises in our country.

The importance of continuing active humanitarian exchanges, primarily in the field of culture and education, was emphasized.

The issues of preparation for the upcoming summit of the Organization of Turkic States in November this year in the city of Samarkand were discussed. An agreement was reached to deepen productive dialogue within the framework of regular ministerial meetings in the Uzbekistan-Turkey-Azerbaijan format.
